Why Every Millennial Should Delete their Dating Apps for Good and Live Without the Worry of Phone Apps or Soap Operas

Author:

Millennials are growing up in a world where technology is everywhere and our phones have become an integral part of our lives. But there’s a downside to being overly reliant on technology–it’s easy to become overly reliant on apps and social media platforms that can take us away from the people and experiences that matter most.
The real problem is that we’re encouraged to focus on our phones instead of spending time in the real world, and dating apps serve as an easy way to drown ourselves in superficial interactions with people from around the world. But there comes a time where we need to step back and prioritize our relationships. Dating apps can ultimately take away the joy and happiness we experience in real life, and it’s the responsibility of millennials to find balance.
I want to take the pressure of offline relationships off my hands for good and live without the concern of phone apps. It’s time to unplug and prioritize human connection over digital distractions. Social media can be a helpful tool in our world, but it needs to be balanced with face-to-face interactions, real-life connections and lessening our use of the apps that lead to idealized versions of virtual dating experiences. We need to be aware of the more negative effects of digital dating as well as those that are more positive.
